Material Characteristics

At our plants, we recycle fiberglass composites, epoxy resins and structural reinforcements such as wood or composite materials. These blades can range in length from several meters to more than 100 meters in larger wind turbines, and contain coating and painting materials for protection and aerodynamic efficiency.

Process Description

Used wind turbine blades are received and disassembled to separate them from the wind turbines and remove unwanted components such as gearboxes or control systems. The disassembled blades are then crushed and shredded to facilitate handling and processing. Finally, the shredded pieces undergo separation processes to recover metals and other valuable materials.
