Material Characteristics

At our battery recycling plants, we process various battery components, such as lead, sulfuric acid, plastics, paper and electronic materials. These come from lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, lithium-ion and other battery technologies.

Process Description

The recycling process of used batteries begins with reception and classification. They are then disassembled to separate the components, which are crushed and separated by physical and chemical processes. Sulfuric acid is treated for reuse or safe disposal. Recovered metals are recycled to make new batteries or other products. Non-recyclable waste is properly managed.
